    3. Louise, Ancestry.com has the images for each state, but only a few states are indexed and searchable by name of individual. The other states you must look through page by page. This is time consuming under the best of circumstances but even more so when the images are not where they are supposed to be. The problem is that at least some of the Kentucky counties, Daviess being one of them, are messed up. If you have an Ancestry.com Census Subscription, you can go to Ancestry.com, U.S. Census Records and Images, click on 1860, scroll down the list of states and click on Kentucky. You will then get a list of all the Kentucky counties. Click on Daviess and you SHOULD come up with the images of the 1860 census of Daviess County, however you get Estill County instead. Click of Estill and you also get Estill. Click on Cumberland and you get the images for Edmondson County which you also get if you click on Edmondson. Daviess County may be hidden somewhere among the 100+ counties, but I haven't found it so far. 3. Betty , What I was trying to say is Ancestry.com only has 5 states listed for "Search 1860 U.S. Federal Census" and Ky is not one of them.
