Dear List, In an obituary that I am researching, the funeral services were held at the Fourth Street Presbyterian Church in Owensboro. This funeral took place 15 October 1922 and was conducted by Rev. E. E. Smith. Does anyone know if the 4th Street Presbyterian Church still exists or is it part of another church now? Thanks so much for the obit on Dorothy Wilkey. Surely appreciate your time and trouble. As for the Wilkey/Whelchel mystery! The entire family is still trying to figure out when/where/why the name change! Some members of this family went by the name Wilkey, some by Whelchel. Several of these people resided in Owensboro.
