Reecer and Bernetta Spear were married in Clay Co. on Aug 29, 1876, volume CO page 22; marriage performed by D. J. McAlpin. Hamilton S. Reecer was the son of Benjamin Reecer and Anna Strong. Benjamin was born ca. 1820 Monroe Co., KY and was the son of Frederick Reeser/Reecer and Margaret Essman. Benjamin died in Jackson Co., TN 1894. 1900 Clay Co., TN census Net Reecer female, head, age 40, widowed, b. TN Hardy Reecer son, b. 1882 Hershel Reecer son, b. 1886 Lucy Reecer, daughter b. 1890 Dovie Reecer, daughter b. 1892 Hunter Reecer, son, b. 1895 1910 Clay Co., TN census Net Reecer age 51 widowed, has 5 out of 7 children living Hunter Reecer son, age 16 Mollie Reecer, daughter, age 12 All can read and write, owns home, no mortgage. Their children: Amanda b. 1847; Mary b. 1849; Zachariah b. Mar 2, 1851; Laura b. 1853; Bernetta b. Jan 6, 1857; Lucetta b. 1862 and David Austin b. Oct 8, 1864. 2nd wife; Louisa A. Potter. Their children: Miney G. b. 1868; Archibald Bennett b. 1872; Lillie W b. 1874; Donna b. 1876 and Faye W. b. 1884. John Crouch Spear b. ca 1824 was the son of Levi Spear Jr , b. ca 1797 Surry Co., NC died 1856 Monroe Co., KY and Elizabeth Pettitt (d/o of Benjamin and Charity (Skidmore) Pettitt of NC. Levi, Jr and Elizabeth were marr. Mar 8, 1819 Surry Co., NC. Their children: Bennett b. 2/1/1820; Samuel b. 1822, John Crouch b. 1824, Zachariah b. 1826, Levi b. 1832; George W. b. 1835; Mary b. 1836; Burnett b.
