John Portlock and Sarah Dougherty are as far as I go back on my Portlock line. Their son, Thomas Samuel Portlock was the father of my maternal great-grandfather, James Portlock. James was my grandmother, Ethel Jane Portlock Charlton's father. Have you visited Julie Dresser's Portlock website? It's a very interesting and informative site for Portlock descendants.
