M. Bledsoe and T. W. M. Bledsoe, two of his sons. It was recorded 15 January 1853. "In the name of God Amen. I Elijah Bledsoe of the County of Cumberland, being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and disposing memory for which I thank God, and called to mind the uncertainity of human life, and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it has pleased God to bless me with, I give and bequeath the same in manner following, that is to say, I give first the whole of my estate both real and personal to my beloved wife Judith B. Bledsoe, for and during her widowhood, at her death, if she lives a widow, the land I live on, belongs to my sons, to be divided equally between them, if she remarries, the land is to be taken from her, and given to my sons, and the land that I have lying on the dividing ridge between Sand Lick and Rockhouse Bottom, being 150 acres to my youngest daughter Mary S. Bledsoe my negro girl Eliza, and $100 worth of my personal property, such as she may choose at her marriage, The negro girl Eliza to be under the control o! f my wife Judith B. Bledsoe, during her widowhood, the balance of my personal property I want sold or divided equal between my three daughters, Lucy F. Coffey, A. M. Morris and Judith B. Warrener, I want my granddaughter J. V. Bledsoe, to have a horse, cow and a bed. Also reserve 1/4 acre of land where my father was buried as a burying ground for my children and grandchildren. Signed: Elijah Bledsoe He annexed to the will the statement: I appoint J. W. C. Bledsoe and J. H. Bledsoe as guardians of William H. Bledsoe, to hold and manage his property. There was a codicil dated 15 Januray 1853 naming the children. There was an agreement dated 15 November 1853 by : Judith B. Bledsoe, Humphrey and Lucy F. Coffee, W. M. and A. M. A. C. Morris, William and Judith B. Warriner, T. W. M. Bledsoe, John H. Bledsoe, G. W. C. Bledsoe, E. P. M. Bledsoe, W. M. Bledsoe, W. H. Bledsoe and Mary S. Bledsoe."
