Isaac and Benjamin Romines were born near the dates of 1805 and 1810. They came into Jackson Co. Tenn,. in 1835 from Virginia. I. Isaac Romines married around 1835 and had at least one son; Charlie. Charles Romines b. 1867 on near that time (in 1963 a very old man, named Charlie Romines was still living in Algood, Tenn.) II. Benjamin Rjomines b. 1810 d. 1864, He is garndfather of Berthra Romines Carter. She now 80 years old and remembers her aunt telling her a few things about the Romines family. She heard that Ben was a small man with a hot temper. He was of Irish decent and married a Dutch woman named Nancy Richey. They had 11 children: (1). Jim, (2). Tom b. 1845-1919,(3),Layton (4). Ann (5). John (6). Rhode,(7). Bennylee,(8). Emmiline,(9). one who died at nine weeks old. (10). Isaac (b. 1857-1922), and the youngest son was named Charlie (b.1859 died short time before 1917). Ben and his family left Jackson County ,Tenn. in 1847 and went into Kentucky.Ben died in1864 an d was burial in the old cemetery at Red Lick. His wife Nancy died in 1897 abd was burial in the same cemetery.But she was in the older part and her grave could not be found ad there was no marker. He was laid in another area. 1. Jim had two sons; Green and Weatly. They left Kentucky. (d.in Hemitite,MO.) 2.Thomas Romines : b. Feb. 12, 1845 d. July 4, 1919. Married Susan Luewellyn, a daughter of Samuel Luewelllyn and Louisa Brince, onSpet. 25,1867 in Cumbeland Co. K y. They had 15 children.O ne of them 15 died before begin named. 1. Gabriel Romines b. Oct. 7,1869, d. July 4,1919, 2. Emmet Romines b. Dec. 16,1870 d, April 30,1889 3. Elam Romines b. June 7,,1872 d.April 9,1967 in Edmonton,Ky. married Kittie Stephens in 1896 who was still living in 1967. THey had some children. Artamatis Romines b Aug.9.1873 d,May 17,1874. Emma Romines b. 1874 d.Oct. 4,1951 narried Anthony Williams,now dead. They had 11 children;' 1. Blanche Williams , dead 2. Chester Williams, dead 3. Wilmona, 4. Clyde 5. Wirth 6. Wanda 7. Ione 8. Emmon 9. Annie, 10. Gordon 11. Harlon Elmore Romines (commonly called "Mose") b. April 13,1876 d. Dec. 13,1947 married Lena Hubbard, daughter of Filmore Hubbard of Virginia and Catherine Kaltner of Adair Co.Lena was born Oct.71883. Elmore and Lena were wed on Feb. 8 1907.They had 7 children; 1. Ralph Waldo Romines:b. Nov. 10,1907 ------------- 2. Carlos Wintson Romines b.Nov.20,1909 still living in New Albany Ind. with his second wife.On April 14, 1928,Carlos wed Eula Mae Carter, daughter of Ira Del Carter and Eva Garrett. Eula was born July 12, 1907 a, Archie Neal Romines b. April 20,1929 married(1) Jenell Turatee (dead).They had no children.(2) Phyllis Lambert around 1948,They had two children; 1. Ariche Neal Romines Jr. .b June 1949 2.Penny Kay Romines b. July 1950 Bessie Jo Clark around Feb.14,1955. they had two children; 1. Mark Romines b. Aug. 1957 2. Melanie Romines b.Aug. 1957 b.
