It might help you with other connections. After seeing this I was wanting to find out if the WOOD and SWOPE surnames is kin to my ROGERS line. It seems they gradually moved north possibly returning to Kentucky. THANKS. If they are my smiths they had an adopted daughter(who was a great niece) Hazel Marie(Underwood)Smith.

He responds to queries posted on the Cheatham webpage at www,genforum.com where you can also find his email address. He lists Sarah Baker Cheatham's death as 1857 in Cumberland County KY.

I am somewhat interested in James Johnson b. 1775, va. I have been searching for ancestors of my John Johnson b. 1819 (maybe Ky). I have John's marriage info and children but can't find any siblings or parents. Could James be a relative - parent, uncle, etc? My Johnson lived in Morgan Co until sometime between 1860-1870 and them moved to Cumberland Co. It is the brick wall thing!

He was married to Fannie Blakely and they had a son name Denzil. Really need some info on Fannie, I think she is buried in Guthrie Cemetery close to Burkesville, Also had a sister named Rilda who later married a Hawk in TN, have lost all information on what happened to her after 1930.
