Surnames: Kennedy Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/oAB.2ACE/2493.1 Message Board Post: Sheri, I have long been interested in a Nancy SCOTT in Cumberland Co.,KY. In the history of Clear Fork Baptist Church there is record of my James KENNEDY and a Nancy SCOTT being suspended from the church for "unfriendly bonds toward one another". This was in 1816, however, and you state that your Nancy Scott m John Coe abt 1806. So probably not the same Nancy. Do you have any parental names for your Nancy? Early Clear Fork Church members in 1804 were Thomas & Lettes Scott by letter; NANCY SCOTT 1810 by letter; Samuel Scott 1812 by letter; my James & Polly Canady/Canada/Kennedy in 1813 by experience.Since Nancy & Samuel Scott joined later and about the same time as my Kennedys, I have wondered if they could possibly been "akin" in some way but for some reason "feuding". Any info you can assist with re your SCOTT family would be appreciated. I didn't see a COE in the member list, so don't know about the Coe family. Thanks...

I have a picture with all of them in it. I have foumd him in 3 different census, two of them by mistake. 1880 census has Leola as Veola only two children Florence and Sisa (I think and that is a name I do not know). Then under 1920 census I was looking for my grandfather Archie Dunham. He is listed right under him and Jesse Crawford his son is listed right above my grandfather. The 1920 has my grandfather's name correctly before he changed it to Dunham. It should be Dunning, but since he changed it all his decendents are Dunham. His father was John Dunning and was married to Frances Short. Leola and Frances are first cousins. I have a whole lot more to tell you. Please email me at pumalee@webtv.net

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/oAB.2ACE/2440.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Thomas has a brother Robert Lawson married to liddia Cooksey, shows up on Cumberland Co Census, then on Benton Co, MO Census. Thomas married Delilia Tyree, daughter of John Tyree, who shows up in the Arkansas Territory Census, then later in Benton Co. John was also on a few probate records before 1860. I have not had much time to study this lately, but that is the most recent of my research. If Delilah was Cherokee, you would have to find John on the Census. He did travel from Virginia, to Kentucky, to Arkansas, along the same route, but if he does not show up in the Census', then another sibling on the Dawes, it doesn't matter. You have to be able to track your line directly to the Dawes Roll of 1904 to register. If you need anything more, or if you find out anything I haven't, please let me know. I have been researching this line for 14 years now. Thank you Cherri Wilkerson

Thomas is listed on the 1850 Cumberland County Census with his wife Delilah (Liley) and children. Thomas was born in Tennessee around 1812. I haven't been able to determine Thomas's parents/siblings. By 1860, they were in Benton County Missouri. It is rumored that Delilah was a Cherokee, but on the census she is listed as white. If you are anyone knows anything about this family, I would appreciate a reply....Thank you.
