They are Park Dunning and Barthena Brown. John was born in KY 10-22-1865 and died 7-11-1930. He is buried at New Hope Cemetery in Clay County with his wife Frances Short.

He was born in 1790 in Hawkins County (then NC, now TN) His family moved to Knox/Whitley County KY on the KY/TN border. They lived on Marsh Creek at that time. Doswell moved his family to Cumberland County, KY and died there in 1840. His wife and children migrated to the Harrison AR area. I don't recognize the names you mentioned. Known to me as Noah L Alley. When I saw your reply so many names were like ones I have been searching I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask, even though to my knowledge they were mainly in Tennessee. I've heard either his mother or grandmother was a Mary Bracy. I've also heard either his aunt or great-aunt was an Ida Holt that married a John Holt. I've also confirmed her children were Troy, Lottie, Jessie and Daley. I've also heard about a Bud Holt (I noticed a Noah "Bud" Holt listed) but not sure of where he falls on the tree. I've heard both of his parents died close to when he was born and he was raised by his grandmother (possibly Mary). He was born Feb 1885, per draft record. Assumably his father was an Alley, but may not be if his mother had him outside of marriage. If any of this information sounds like something you have record of, please let me know. Thank you.
