Surnames: Anderson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/oAB.2ACE/21.66.1 Message Board Post: Hi Joyce. I noticed your mention of your GG grandmother Sarah E (Anderson) Gibson. We may have a connection. My grandfather had two sisters. One was a Patsy "Hattie" Anderson who married a James Vincent and a younger sister Sarah Elizabeth "Betsy" Anderson. There mother was Mary A (Thrasher) Anderson who was the second wife of James C Anderson of Cumberland Ky. My Grandfather (Ed T Anderson) moved to Fannin Co, Tx in 1889 and died there in 1906. His older sister Patsy moved to Crawford, Ark and raised a family there finally dying in Trarrant County, Texas. I believe there is a good possibility that your G Grandmother Sarah E Anderson might be the younger sister. The only rub is I have her born in 1863 based on her age in the 1880 Cumberland county census. But, the census takers don't always get it correct. Oh, They lived in the Cary/Whitstone area. If you wish to correspond further contact me at eanderson@carolina.rr.com Best Regards Ed

In fact, this Thomas you refer to probably came to Monroe from the Metcalfe-Green area. I know of someone with a tree on the Lincolns and the Rocks of Metcalfe and Green Cos. Roberts, Thomases, and Abrahams were prevalent thruout, and probably more so after the famous Lincoln.
