    3. As requested by many of you - this info is what the Campbell Funeral Home provided at my request. The obit ran in the 20 April 2006 edition of the Clinton County News. Eva P. Burchett Conner, 85, passed away Friday, April 7, 2006 at the Livingston, Tennessee Hospital. She was a native of Albany, Kentucky. She attended Campbellsville College along with her husband, Willard. She graduated from Western Kentucky State College with a BS is 1955 and an MA in 1967. She, like many of the teachers of that time period, attended College on Saturdays and during the week at night. She first taught in a one room school in the Clinton County School System, taught fifth grade in Albany, and taught History and Social Studies at Clinton County High School. She was the Supervising Teacher in the Clinton County School System prior to retirement in 1977. She professed faith in Christ at an early age. She was very active in the Albany Younger Women's Club, Albany Women's Club and served as President. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. After retirement she spent many years working on genealogy of the Burchett, Conner, York and many other families in Clinton County. She traveled all over the United States doing her research and was a source of information for many families in Clinton County and from people from throught the country. She was very active in the Clinton County Historical Society and helped produce and research many books of historical and genealogical significance. She compiled the Lewis Armstrong York Family History book, she and Luther C. Conner, Jr. compiled a history of the Lawrence Conner of Dublin, Ireland, she compiled the 1910 Census of Clinton County Kentucky, Abstract and Index with Marilyn Neathery McCluen, and helped reconstruct the Clinton County 1890 Census. She also helped do the research on Frederick (Old Fed) Grider and his twenty two children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard A. Conner, Father, Luther E. Burchett, Sr., mother Edna Grider Burchett and her brother, Luther F. (Pete) Burchett. She is survived by her sons, Larry T. Conner (Lynn), grandson, Jeremy J. Conner, grandson Jason Gregory, granddaughter, Jane T. Conner, grandson Bryan Gregory, and son Willard A. (Tony) Conner. She is also survived by her sisters, Jimmie B. Maupin, Alice Dickerson and Sallie Copeland (Turney) and many nephews and nieces. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 12th at Campbell Funeral Home in Albany, Kentucky.
