I am interested in the surname Brown. Do you have any Brown-Richardson connections? I have the following information: Josiah Brown and his wife, Polly made the following declaration in Clinton County Missouri the 28th of April 1838: Know all men by these presents that we Josiah Brown and Polly Brown his wife of the county of Clinton and State of Missouri have made and constituted and appointed Benjamin Harrison of Overton County and State of Tennessee our true and lawful attorney for us and in our names to act demand sue for recover and receive of and from the administrator or guardian of the estate of John Richardson deceased of the county of Overton and State of Tennessee........ A John Richardson lived in Overton County Tennessee and also Clinton County Kentucky. He was a Rev. War Veteran. The Josiah Brown I have lived in Cumberland then Clinton county, KY. His wife was listed in censuses as Sally and I have a reference that her maiden name was Cooksey. I do know that Sally and Polly were sometimes interchangeable nicknames. Let me know if you find more of a connection to Richardson as it seems my Sally's father was a Cooksey. Thanks!
