I am trying to find the parents of both the bride and groom in the following Clinton Co., KY marriage: G.T. SUTTON to Rhoda STINSON, bondsman was W.C. DABNEY, December 24, 1889, Marriage Book 8, Page 93 And who was W.C. DABNEY? I also would like to follow this bridal couple on census but have not had any luck. Anna, In the 1910 census, George T Sutton appears in Mullentown, Wayne Co., KY with his wife, Rhoda and children (this is extremely hard to read but here goes) George T. Sutton, age 42?, b. GA Rhoda, age 37, b. KY William H. (he is 12 or 15, this census page is very washed out, born KY) ??? L. (daughter, age 6, KY) Hattie E. (age 4, KY) Roxie M. (age 1 5/12, KY) 1910 census says that Rhoda had 10 children and 4 are still living. In the 1920 census, there is a Thomas Sutton (age 56 b,. GA) in Precinct 5, Piney Woods, Clinton Co., KY with his wife Rhoda (age 48, b. KY) and children: Lou, age 15, Hattie, age 14, Roxie, age 10, Kenzie, (son) age 8, and Ettie, age 4 8/12. All born KY. In June Bork's "Wayne Co Marriages and Vital Records" vol 2, there is a William Stinson and Rhoda Joan Sloan listed in the Births section (page 314). This page lists a daughter Mary Jane was born Dec 1, 1858 on K Creek. The book has info up to 1860, so these might be your Rhoda's parents. Though I could not find them in the 1880 census.
