Gary do you have in your book Ruben Owens and his wives Nancy, Sarah, & Lou E. ( Louisa) ? And does your book have pictures of any stones? I know this is a strange request but am hoping to find something that I can use to prove his wives so I can get the name of his second wife which is Lou E. which I found on census records. Thank you for your help, Joyce Pecora
I have Reuben Owens buried in the Sam Owens Cemetery. His dates are April 1, 1843 to April 17, 1898. He was the son of Martin B. Owens and Mary Leveridge. He is listed as the husband of Surilda. I have a Samuel Washington Owens who was born on June 16, 1804 and died on August 3, 1879. He was the son of Reuben Owens and Sarah A. Lockhart. Samuel is also buried in the Sam Owens Cemetery. I have Sally Warinner Owens as the 1st wife of Reuben Owens. Her dates are July 9, 1838 to July 10, 1859. She is buried in the Warinner Cemetery. Robert Owens (1783-1860) and his wife, Elizabeth, (1794-1867) are the oldest Owens I have. Both were buried at Peolia Cemetery. I have a few pictures of the oldest stones in some cemeteries, but not all. I am currently updating all my books to include digital photos and GPS plots. Currently there are 147 Owens listed in the book. Let me know if I can be of further help. Gary D.
