Hi all. I am looking for descendants of Asa PAYNE who was born about 1812, and Mahala GUFFEY who was born about 1824. They were married in Wayne Co., KY in 1844. By 1850 they resided in Clinton Co., KY. I have a picture of Mahala taken in the mid 1800's, and another picture that I believe is of her included in a group photograph. I am hoping to be able to confirm that the picture in the group photograph was her. The picture I have of her from the mid 1800's is confirmed as being her. The group picture which (I believe) includes her is one that I believe to be of my GG grandfather, Mathew YORK, his children from his first marriage to Syrene PAYNE (d/o Asa and Mahala), and others who are likely other relatives of Mahala. I would appreciate hearing from descendants of Asa and Mahala, as well as those descendants of Mathew YORK and his second wife, Louisa Jane GUFFEY.
