    3. Nel, Here are some of the GPS coordinates: Beaty Cemetery 36º 37' 82" North and 85º 03' 29" West. Beech Bottom 36º 39' 45" North and 85º 02' 56" West. I will get you the Travis Cemetery coordinates when I can. I don't have them at hand right now. I am also adding pictures of the oldest tombstones at each cemetery. The pictures and coordinates are added slowly since I have 6 cemetery books and about 1,500 cemeteries to revisit in two states and 7 counties! Please bare with me. It may be Saturday before I can get the coordinates to you. Got to go out of town the next two days. Gary D. 2. Hello, I'm planning a research trip to the Clinton Co. area in the near future. I have a copy of ROCKS OF AGES by Gary Norris, but mine is an older one. I know he talked about adding GPS data to the locations for the cemeteries. I wonder if anyone has that info and/or could tell me exactly where the old Travis cemetery and Beech Bottom cemetery are located. I've been to the Beaty cemetery a number of times, but could use the GPS for it also. I believe the Travis cemetery is near there. I know I can "bug" the funeral home or police when I get there for directions, but was hoping I wouldn't have to bother them if I could get the GPS data or detailed directions beforehand. Thanks, Nel Rocklein

I wrote you and explained this Thomas living with my ggGrandmother I thought was the same Thomas living with Long ,Russell county 1860 census. He is listed as an idiot and his race along with Long is listed as "other", I think Long GA,and Elizabeth MD are sisters who took turns caring for Thomas. I also told you that I had proof Harlan and James Abner Travis listed in Clinton census with Mahala Travis their father is WILLIAM Travis (not Robert as you keep posting) and their mother Mary C. Francis. I further believe these Travis are related to my ggGrandmother Elizabeth Hays as I found them in Edgar county, ILL with my Hays working on Hays farm. You stated to me you get 99.9% of your information from a book, and that another book was in the making. Please...if you can't document it don't ! relay it like its the truth.

The 1870 census of Overton County lists Zack Smith as the son of Vance and Cynthia. In addition, Elizabeth Elmore, and son William C. are listed in Overton County. Cynthia Smith (with the same children listed from Overton County) is listed as Elizabeth's neighbor, and also as the head of the household. I can't find information pertaining to the location of Zack or Vance Smith in the 1880's. Would you happen to have any information? Thanks, Shana Janes

    3. Bill and Milly, It is possible the marriage took place in 1830 Wayne Co., KY and still not be in June Bork's book, Vol II. June was not able to save all the marriage records scattered about the courthouse, some partially burned, and many with water damage. Maybe the Philson Club or the KY Archives would have something? Or even the genealogical society library for Wayne Co., KY. Sorry I'm not much help here.
