I have heard that Eva Burchett Connor, a Clinton Co. native, died recently. She is a relative of mine, and spent many years researching the Grider family. Could someone please post her obituary, or e-mail me a copy off list?? Thank you. Eva Neeland

Hi all. I have a photo that appears to be of a family reunion, or simply a large group of family members. I believe this to be a picture of Mahala GUFFEY (born abt. 1824), along with Mathew YORK (born 1843; her son-in-law), Louisa GUFFEY (born 1884, second wife of Mathew), as well as children of Mathew and his first wife, Syrine PAYNE (d/o Asa and Mahala Guffey PAYNE). If there is anyone on the list who is a decendant of Mahala Guffey PAYNE and/or Mathew YORK, Syrine PAYNE, or Louisa Jane GUFFEY, I would appreciate hearing from you. Maybe there is someone out there who can identify someone in the picture, so I can prove that it is of these York's and Payne's. Inparticularly, I am hoping to find the oldest living descendants of the family, who would likely be able to identify some of these folks. Thanks, Rex W. Bertram 132 S. Lisa, Who are your Owens? My ggrandfather was Samuel Owens son of Reuben Owens. Samuel came to Clay county, Mo. with his wife Sally, my grandmother, Sarah his 2 brothers, Wesley and Joseph. They were all born in Clinton County. Reuben was married 3 times. His first wife died and had no children. His second wife was the mother of my ggrandfather and his brother Wesley before she died. Reuben's last wife was the mother of Samuel's sister Sally or Sarah, Reuben, and Joseph as far as I have found from census records. I am trying to find the name of Reuben's second wife which on the census says lou E.. Really need to find her maiden name and her given name. Any help would be wonderful or even an idea where to look for it. Hi all. I am still looking for any, and all desecendants of Barnabus BRANHAM who was in Roane County, TN very early in the 1800's. Some of his relatives remained there. Barnabus, and some of his chidlren. went to Cumberland (later became Clinton) Co., KY in the 1820's. Known children of Barnabus were: Matilda b. 1770-1780 (likely his daughter), Nathaniel, 1784/85, Richard 1789, George Washington 1796. These were by his first wife, whose name is a mystery to me. With his second wife, Mary GREER, he had William 1798, Pleasant abt 1801, John abt. 1805. Alexander abt. 1805, may have also been his son. One of Barnabus's children, and some grandchildren, went to Logan Co., KY. The name may been found as BRANHAM, BRANNUM, BRANUM, and others. Rex W. Bertram 132 S.
