Hi Rhonda, My gggrandparents were Lewis Strader Shelley and Deborah Jane Frogge who lived in Clinton County, KY. Lewis Strader and your Simon Peter were brothers and sons of Daniel Shelley and Margaret Shy. Deborah Jane Frogge and your Elizabeth Turley Frogge were sisters and born in Fentress County, TN. Their parents were Cornelius Mitchell Frogge & Deborah Jane Carpenter. Since we share common ggggrandparents, I believe that makes us fourth cousins. Your cousin, Mary

My grandmother, Corinne Holsapple (d. of Ambrose Holsapple and Louise Gaskin) was first married to Joseph York (or at least had a child by him in 1910, my uncle John Rudolph York McCann). I have been unable to find any record of this marriage in Clinton Co., or in Lincoln Co., which my uncle claimed as his birthplace in his army discharge papers. I can't find any record of his birth either, for that matter. Joseph York, born Dec. 18, 1877, was the son of General Zachary Taylor York and Laura Candice Stockton. After he and my grandmother split, he remarried (or married) Jessie M. Wiliams. Any chance your Yorks tie in with my Yorks?

However, Travis Morehead was my great-grandfather. He was married to Addie Butler. I am unable to find any information on either of them. I do not know her maiden name. Adell (their child) married James Otha York. She was my grandmother. Travis and Addie had a son, J.T. Butler. Addie died shortly after his birth; therefore, he was raised by the Butler family. If you have any information about the Butlers or Moreheads, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Shana
