RESPONSE: I am pretty involved right now transcribing the outline of the 1910 Knox Co. Fed. Census along with others where it will be posted on Cassy SOMMERs "free" site. You may have already done this but if you have not, please do not forget to make all the connections you can with anyone from the Whitley Co. Message Board and/or Mailing List. The more families you can connect with who connect to your family, the more chance you have of locating the information you need. One day the information will come to you and probably when you are least expecting it. For sure, your Caner, Kanner, (maybe Elkannah) WYNN will show up somewhere on the 1880 Fed. Census. You also might consider joining the Whitley Co. Gen. Society. They probably have a publication where you can make queries about your family which will be sent out to all members. We must always remember that there are still many, many devoted long-time researchers who do not have computer access. Good luck to you.
