Hello Clay and surrounding counties Everyone has there brick wall, mine is Nathan Duck. He is my grt.grt grandfather, family tradition says he was born in England but the 1860 census says N.C. He is shown in household #785 with 25 acres, living alone. Age 78. I also found him owing the estate Davis Clark $20.00 in 1842. he had 2 daughters (one was my grt grandmother) and maybe one son with the same name (this Nathan served in the civil war and was wounded in the leg) His grandson said he was buried on "Red Bird" in Clay Co. and that is a very ambiguous location to say the least. If anyone can offer me additional information I would be most grateful. Leta in Wa state
