Joyce, you are so right about the different spellings of certain family names. My mother`s maiden name was Pigg, also spelled Pyg, Pigue, Pique, Pegg and Pig. A genealogist writing on this subject offered thirty spellings of the common name Reynolds. My list add three additional spellings. In 1850, give a year or two, Richard Rennels made an affdavit that he was a brother to Pleasant Reynolds.
