    1. Re: [KYCLAY] Banjo
    2. Hi Jess, Do you remember RAYMOND LEE LAYNE? He is from my mother's side of the family (WEBB, BROCK, HENSLEY<CRUTCHER,LANE). Raymond lived, I believe in/around Estill Co. or Irving. I remember going to his house around 1970 in KY, with a trip with my Mom, Fairy Webb Campbell. They were somehow cousins. He had bought the old Bark Road school house (MadisonCo.,KY),Ithink, & put on his land. I can still remember visiting inside & sitting in the very desk my grandmother, Dora Brock-Webb sat in. I knew it was hers 'cause she carved her name in it, LOL. Raymond used to make dulcimers. That's when I first played one, well, I tried to play it, LOL. He used to make then & mailed them all over the USA. How I wished I would have thought to have bought one.Mr. Layne was such a nice man. Keep up playing & you'll be back as good as new in a short time. Good luck to the newplayers & thanks to everyone for sharing their stories. I used to play the guitar until fibromyalgia, makes playing too painful. Sincerely, Kandy Campbell fitzpatrik
