Greg-- I'm sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing. I know you wanted info on your grandmother (which I don't have), but Theo Jarvis is my great uncle. His parents were Samuel G. Jarvis and Mary Lucrecita 'Mollie' Blevins. Theo was a brother to my grandmother Eller Jarvis. My grandmother died during childbirth when my mother was 2 years old so we know very little about this side of the family. I was hoping you might be able to help. I also have a name of Felix for Theo. Do you know anything about the difference of his first name? Do you know the date when Theo and your grandmother married? Did they have any children? If so, who are they? I'd appreciate any information you might have. She was married to Zenas Campbell and then Theo Jarvis (both deceased). She was born Mary Bell Wilder 14 August 1917. Her parents were Dempsey P. Wilder Jr. and Alice Robinson. Dempsey had polio and was confined to a wheelchair. He worked as a court recorder in Manchester. He died young from the 1919 Spanish influenza. Her grandparents were Demps Wilder and Mahala Sizemore; Jefferson Robinson and Mary Chandler. I have some information beyond that but it is sketchy. I would appreciate any information anyone has on the ancestry of her grandparents. Regards, Greg Howard, ghoward@alegreinc.com
Donna, I know very little about Theo as they were both over 60 when they married. I saw him a few times when he was healthy, once we went to Cumberland Gap Historic Park together. But he became very ill and was bedridden the last few times I saw him. Fortunately, my grandmother was a nurse. I recall that he was from or had family in Richmond, Indiana. At the time of his death (1980's) he had at least one son living in the Manchester area. If you would send me your personal email, I could find out more details for you. ghoward@alegreinc.com ________________________________ From: kyclay-bounces@rootsweb.com on behalf of Donna McDermit Sent: Tue 1/23/2007 11:01 AM To: kyclay-l@rootsweb.com Subject: [KYCLAY] Mary Bell Jarvis and Theo Jarvis connection Greg-- I'm sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing.
