William lived with a woman Susannah Treadway, Susannah and William split up early 1840's, they had 5 children: Anthony b 1827 in NC, Henry b 1829 in Tenn., James Madison b January 4, 1831 in North Carolina,{my GGG Grandfather} Meliann b 1834? and Peter b 1835 in North Carolina. William meet and married Louisa Ann Hacker parents Claiborne Hacker & Action Roberts, December 30, 1844 in Clay County, Kentucky. They had 4 children: Elizabeth died in infancy, Nancy b, unknown, Thomas b. unknown and John born July 25, 1851 all children where born in Clay County,Kentucky. Hello, I have an Elizabeth Hinkel who married Preston Hendrickson in Knox Co KY on May 07, 1863. I have little on her. Do not know her parents. She was my GG Grandmother. She and Preston were living in Bell Co KY not long after they married. They were divorced and Elizabeth married again to an unknown man in Bell Co. Story goes that she shot him and blinded him in one eye.. When the Judge ask her why she tried to kill her husband it is said she told him that she did try to kill him. "However, if I had wanted him dead he would have been dead". Preston also remarried. They must have been a bad pair. Preston is said to have shot and killed a man or men. Some of the family say they were known as Bonnie and Clyde of Bell CO. Always have one or two in a family that we don't understand. Would love to know more on my Elizabeth if you find her.
