It is likely that Esther was Jesse's sister. It has been accepted by Morris family members that Esther was the wife of William. Unfortunately, we have been unable to prove it yet! Can't remember if I answered your query. My Esther Barrett was only married once and that was to George Gibson. Esther's grandfather (Jesse Barrett's) father, was supposedly from TN. It's possible that your Esther is related to Jesse. Could be her father is Jesse's brother. Jesse Barrett was born in 1796 and died 1858.
