KY From the KDI: Fred HORNSBY lived and died in Knox Co., KY on 1-6-1957 at the age of 64 years, Vol. 3, Cert #1151 From the earlier census, he appears to be the s/o a Spencer and Jesten HORNSBY where he shows up with a bunch of other children and other HORNSBYs in Clay Co. on the 1910 Clay. As for the KBI in Harlan Co., it appears that Grace had one other child that was recorded. It is not unusual at all for them all not to be recorded or perhaps be recorded in some way incorrectly so that they just don't show up. Often children were born at home with some midwife or neighbor woman officiating and there just weren't any records of their births even if it was after 1911 when official recordings began.
