    2. David, Isabella Baker was the daughter of Rebecca Wilson Wood(s) & her father was rumored to be Andy Baker.. They were not married..So you can find Isabella under either name of Wood(s) or Baker.. The later children of Ibby, I think it was the last 3 children were not Eli's. If you want more information On Isabella I will refer to my files.. I may even have what troop Eli was in when he died.. But I do remember he died during the war.. I haven't worked on this family for awhile but will go through my notes and will share what info.. I have.. By looking at the census record, It looks like Eli and Isabella might have been married in 1851 and he might have died in 1869? I was looking at the children, the oldest child was born in 1852. However, Isabella could have been married before she married Eli? Eli was already gone in the 1870 census, however, she had a child born in 1869, then in the 1880 census, she had another child that had been born in 1874. > > I'll take all the help I can get. > David > > 1860 Census, Owsley Co., KY > 13 Eli Bowlin 27 KY Section Creek > Ebby 31 > William 8 > James 6 > Isaac 4 > Martha 4 > Alfred 1 > > 1870 Census, Owsley Co., KY > Isabella Bowlin 37 KY Boonville > James 16 > Isaac 13 > Mary J. 13 > Alfred 10 > Lincoln 3 > Isabella 1 > > 1880 Census, Clay Co., KY > 91 Ibby (Isabella) Bolin 46 KY KY KY Cow Creek > Lincoln 13 > Bell (Isabella) 10 > Frank 6 > Susy Edwards 22 > > ---- Original Message ----- > From: "Sharon Peel" <speell@earthlink.net> > To: <kyclay@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Tuesday, February 06, 2007 7:25 PM > Subject: Re: [KYCLAY] Eli Bowlin family > > > > David, > > > > I show Eli's parents to be (Bad) Eli Bowling and Nancy Herd. 3. Hi, I have that this Eli Bowling died 1 Dec. 1863 at Camp Calvert, KY. I seem to have not made a note of where I got that info, and this isn't my line, but I do collect information on all the Bowlings in Clay county when I find it. My line is Christopher Bolin that married Nancy Baker.
