Sharon, Thanks so much for sharing this information. The book has my ancestor's in it. This is so cool :) My GG grandmother was Elvira Hensley Pigg. The book has her listed as Elviney Hensley who married Gabrel Bigg. His name was actually Gabriel Pigg. Her Dad was William Henry Hensley and his dad was James Hensley. Chapter 16 deals with Clay County, KY. I have no knowledge of how accurate the book is, and I haven't had time to explore there, but it might hold some answers. http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?dis play=titledetails&columns=*%2C0%2C0&titleno=628112&disp=The+Hensley+tree++ ---------------------------------------- To review the Welcome message and find useful links for Clay County research, please visit http://freepages.misc.rootsweb.com/~beckyjs3/clayco.html. I am showing Gabriel Pigg married to Elvira Hensley Oct 02, 1850 Clay Co KY. Showing Gabriel's father as being a Paul Pigg who married Elizabeth Davenport Oct 06, 1806 Lincoln Co KY. A Paul Pigg certified that a Mary 'Polly' Hines was a widow so she could marry Rev War Vet John Forbis/Forbes on Feb 20, 1820 Clay Co KY.. Was this Mary Hines' maiden name Pigg?... was she a sister of Paul Pigg? Anybody out there that can help with this question about Mary, please do. Rev War Vet John Forbis/Forbes lived out his life in Laurel Co KY is my gggg-grandfather (father to William, and grandfather to Anna who married George W Henson of Laurel Co KY ... see George in1828 Laurel Co Tax List). Thanks for sharing.
