Hello: Sarah Robinson Hornsby married Samuel Hensley in 1856, Clay County. In the 1860 Clay County census she was living with Samuel and step-children. In the 1870 Clay County census she was living with her son, Job Hornsby and was listed as Sarah HORNSBY instead of HENSLEY. Did Samuel die and Sarah take her Hornsby name back or were they divorced? Sarah Robinson and Job Hornsby were my great great grandparents. Does anyone know when Sarah died and where she is buried? Thanks, Lorraine
I have a couple of items to add to this group of names. I didn't see info on them on the book. 1. Mary Hensley b. 2-20-1795 in NC m. Henry Wild about 1816. Could this be a sister to the 3 brothers? She's buried in Ray Co., MO 2. Elizabeth Rogers b. ca 1795 m. Thomas L. Hornsby about 1816 in Buncombe Co., NC. They are in 1850 Clay Co.KY. Index at ancestry has their last name as Homsley. Did Sarah & Elizabeth marry Hornsby brothers? Thanks, Judy LORRAINE MOFFAT wrote: >Hello: Sarah Robinson Hornsby married Samuel Hensley in 1856, Clay County.
