Sorry about the oversight. The author is Charles House. I have written four books, which may be accessed at www.pubthis.com. It is not a collection. It is a 312-page history of the county told through the stories of several families who settled along Goose Creek around 1800 or a little before. The book is the result of eight years of historical and genealogical research. I suppose I didn't mention my name because I assumed anyone interested would go to the web site which gives more details and an excerpt from the book. It was my intention to write the most comprehensive history of the county ever attempted, and to do it through the lives of many of my family and others who's activities were so intertwined with the affairs of the county -- good and bad -- all along. In any case, thanks for your reply. --Charles House On May 17, 2007, at 4:24 PM, S R Newman wrote: > The name of the author is missing. I'm so sorry. When I saw "Charles House," I thought that was the publisher was Charles House, rather like "Random House." It didn't dawn on me that House was a surname. I'm embarrassed. Thanks for your kind reply.
