Sharon: Thank you for your e-mail. Yep this Arthur Jackson indeed is the right one and his descend is as listed in subject. It was originally thought by me when assessing the two Ida Jackson's six plus months ago that Arthur Jackson married Ida Jackson daughter of Felix Jackson and Lucy [Lucinda] Sizemore because the Ida born in 1901 had married a Philip Cox in 1939 and she was a divorcee. The grandchildren here in Michigan thought that their grandmother Ida died PRIOR to Arthur as Arthur had died 26 December 1938 and documented by Kentucky Deaths. After revisiting my original assessment I found Lucy Jackson in the household of a Ida Slusher and that a Eva her sister was in household of Noah Howard. To make a long story short DUMMY ME did not know that you could order marriage certificates from a county. Then began the process of getting the marriage license of Arthur Jackson and Ida Jackson and when arrived it proved that Arthur Jackson was the son of William Jackson and Mary Cox. And that Ida Jackson was the daughter of John Jackson with him signing a document indicating that Arthur Jackson was 17 years old and that his daughter Ida was born 12 November 1901 with Ada Bell and Liza Jackson signing document as witnesses. Mother Emily [Emma] Jackson was left off as being mother and I will not speculate why. But this wedding took place 17 November 1922 and with John Jackson marrying again 27 July 1925 one can figure out. A 48 year old Emma Jackson is in the household of Sarah [Clarkston] Mills in 1930 with indications that she is divorced. I have already sent out e-mails & scans concerning the verification of Arthur Jackson and Ida Jackson being husband & wife also with other relatives those being descendants of John and Emily/Emma Smith and also descendants of John's brother Thomas Jackson. Sharon I have also scanned material relating to Arthur's father William Jackson. He is listed in the 1894 Clay Co. School census as 13 years old and as Wm. Also in the Milton Jackson household at this time are as follows: B. 16, and Mils 12. Mils is listed as a male and B, I figure to be PERRY whom some have associated and or placed with William. It is proved here that and in the 1880 census that Perry was in the 1880 census. However, it is true the 1900 census of Knox County gives William's age as 22 making a birth around 1878. I take the school census, 1910, 1920 and 1930 census as showing that William was born after 1880. As for the male 12 year old Mils, I myself believe that there was a Milton Jackson Jr., and he was given the nickname "Mils." I would respectfully request others that have postings at rootsweb to kindly correct the lineage of Arthur Jackson and also that of Ida Jackson. I have Sharon you have the e-mail sent to you 29 June that shows the children of Arthur and Ida Jacksom. If you do not have it due to your computer problem please let me know as I will gladly resubmit it to ya. And if any out there requires the marriage certificates of William Jackson & Mary Cox; Arthur Jackson & Ida Jackson; Albert Jackson & Mary J. Brock; Bradley Sizemore & Ada Bell Jackson I will glady scan them to you. I also have a application for marriage register with no record of marriage of Philip Cox & Ida Jackson, widow of Arthur Jackson andf can scan this also to ya. It also should be mentioned here, that the marriage licenses show that Milton Jackson was an ordained Baptist Minister. And to me he followed the footsteps of his wife Rebecca's uncle, the recognized Baptist Minister around Brightshade of Thomas Stewart. It is my sincere desire to help in establishing the proper truth in lineage of these proud descendants/ancestors of Southeastern Kentucky. Arthur and Ida Jackson both died of the then dreaded disease Tuberculosis with Ida other factors involved. And Arthur was an youthful 33 years old and Ida 37. They have left a proud legacy and this is their tribute to correct some incorrect data. Any other useful material can be gleaned from one of their granddaughters [Angie] at Angel-list@hotmail.com Angie is not a typist and I proudly attempt to help her. For the scans & information that has already been sent please let me know. My best to you all and God Bless..
