I will put in my two cents worth about the town of FELTY, Clay County, KY. Felty was a post office at close to the mount of Lower Teges Creek, Clay County, KY and was operated by the Felty family until around the late 40s or early 50s when it the post office was moved and operated by Ida (Byrd) Abner (My aunt on my mother's side) until the post office closed around the late 60s early 70s. Ida Abner ran a small general store along with the post office. Lower Teges ran into the KY river close to where Doc cabin was and Upper Teges ran into the KY river a little closer to Oneida or 3/4 to a mile away. Both of these being about 3 miles from Oneida and Oneida being about 17 miles from Manchester (county seat of Clay County). I left the area 1n 1952 and joined the USMC and have returned sporadically the past 50 plus years.
