    3. James, thank you for the information. The actual marriage record looks like "Hunts" but if it was Hunt, it was not an immediate relative of any of the Hunts in Clay Co. The fact that the Hursts came from Tenn. which matches Hiram & Sally's census records leads me to believe you could right. Only Levi B Hunt had children were born in Tennessee between 1818-1830 and he already had a Sally born about the same time who married Granville Hacker.. All the rest of Jonathan Hunt's grandkids with the last name of Hunt were born in KY, though some later went to Missouri. I guess in speaking - Hurst could sound alot like Husk to some clerk taking down the information. Thanks again, Judy. jwelch@kih.net wrote: >to everyone that has wrote on the subject > >i was looking in the Clay Co vital record book today that was done by the Knox co gen soc >it has the early birth record copied from micofirm this is the way they read the sarah maiden name >you might want to look at the micofilm to see how you read the name >all children of Hiram Smith > >china smith b2-25-1852 clay sarah husk >felix smith b.12-23-1853 clay sarah hurst >poley smith b.11-2-1855 clay sarah hist >joseph smith b.9-25-1859 clay sarah husk > >so to me it appears it hurst since i dought they missed read the name hunt >hope this clears up any problems >james e welch > > >-----Original Message----- > > >>From: Betty & Jasper <jasperwages@kih.net> >>Sent: Jan 10, 2007 9:04 PM >>To: kyclay@rootsweb.com >>Subject: Re: [KYCLAY] Smith/Bailey Family >> >> >> This is Betty Wages and I would appreciate if you would see if you can find a Sarah Elizabeth Hurst that married Hiram Harrison Smith. 3. Donna, y ou are mistaken about Mary Bell Wilder being the first wife of Theo. They were not married until the mid-1970's. They remained married until his death. They are buried beside each other and beside her mother near Manchester. My daughter's mother-in-law is a member of the Jarvis family living near Oxford, Ohio. She has photos of my grandmother with Theo and should be able to help with information. I will ask her to contact you. best regards, Greg Howard Dennis, thanks for the offer. I've included the ancestor report for my grandmother, Ella/Eller Jarvis. Theo Jarvis and 1st wife, Mary Belle Wilder and 2nd wife Anna Wyatt are at the bottom of the list. Anything that has 'private' is because my software recognizes blank fields as the person still living. In all actuality, I have no dates for this information. Hope this makes sense. Again, thanks. 2. Hi, Do you have a 'Big' Jake Burns in your family tree? He lived in Manchester on Rt. 421 near where the new High School is today. He lived in a very long large house that burned to the ground. He was born in the mid to late 1800's.
