The other place that got hit in Kentucky was Rineyville, but I don't know where that is. Charlotte Miller
Harrodsburg got hit last week but it is up farther north. There was another place in Kentucky that got hit too but I can't remember where it was. Charlotte
I have not heard of any tornados hitting the southeastern part of Kentucky. Now, last Thursday, 2 tornados, doing moderate damage, hit in Knox County, Tennesse, where I live ,and most of the really bad stuff, from what I have heard on the Weather Channel over the last few days has been from Tennessee southward. Hello I love for you Ky to see thiss web Page Dr Kin Tankersley On Chief Red Bird Kin Cousin Edith http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~brockfamily/ChiefRedBird.html
Edith, Thank you again this is a wonderful site. I had nightmares about the cave. My Mother used to tell me about a cave all the children used to play in and she was afraid to go in it. She said something just kept her from there. I wonder if it was the same one. She grew up on South Fork. My Grandpa Parker had a store across the river from the mouth of Island Creek and slightly back toward Booneville. I was born at their home across the river, and my birth certificate says Island City. Mr. Tankersly is an excellent writer and historian. Thank you again. Cousin Nancy
