    3. Hello, To the person who requested some information on Jason WALKER ALLEN, I am not related but here are a couple items of information. Sorry, I accidentally deleted out your query but had made a copy of it. >From the Laurel Co. Marriage Index, here is a marriage record you might want to order: ALLEN, Walker to BOWLING, Charley Mae on July 13, 1920 In the Clay Co. Marriage Index, there is this marriage about which I have no information other than what I am typing. That is, I don't know if Jason Walker and Jason ALLEN are the same person. ALLEN, Jason to WEBB, Dora Ann on 20 April 1921, File 41 On the 1920 Clay Co. Fed. Census, Jason WALKER ALLEN's family appears but he is not present. Sec. record which "could" be him. Really don't know. SIZEMORE, Zeke , SS#401-18-1744; b. Feb. 20, 1886; died March 15, 1971 In Ancestry.com posting, I found this. Eliza Jane SCALF was the dau. of a James SCALF and wife, Juda/Judy SIZEMORE. On the 1900 Clay Co. in the Upper Redbird Section I found this and was wondering if this could be the same Judy SIZEMORE SCALF who perhaps divorced, was widowed but in any case was now married to a COLLINS. If so, then this could be Eliza/Liza. Dwelling 52-53 COLLINS, Perry, husband, b. 4-1875, 25, mar. 6 yrs, b. KY; parents b. KY . .Judy, wife, b. 9-1853, 46, mar. 6 yrs, 6 born; 5 living, b. 2. Kay, I love finding new cousins! Jackson Asher was my great- great grandfather. His son Blevins was my great grandfather. I had mistakenly written that Mahala was Jackson's sister, so I am glad that I read this and can correct my mistake. Thank you for sharing that story as I have never heard that before. Do you know about what year this happened? Nanette

    1. Re: [KYCLAY] BOWLINGS OF CLAY CO
    2. Cousin Nanette, Which child of William and Rebecca Asher ? My Great Great Grandmother was daughter of William Blevins Asher. I know little of the court case. Only told by my grandmother that her mother Mahala and her brother Christopher Bowling went to court in Manchester and that Mahala was taken there by her son Author. The Lawyer for Mahala and Christopher was a member of her husbands family. A Mr. Eagle. Mahala and Christopher could not read or write. Some of the family were of the impression that they were not treated fairly. Have not found any court record of this action. It also told that the property was the land sold to Henry Ford by the Asher family. This land is where the trees were cut, used, and turned into coke to be used in Ford plants where Henry Ford made his cars. Anyone know anything would love to hear. OH how I wish I had written or taped all this history while they were here to ask questions. Kay
