    1. Re: [KYCLAY] Roll Call
    2. Gene: Yes I do have this James George in my line. Just received the info a few days ago and have no other info as yet. This is where I'm at in my research, trying to find info on Ansels' children, grand children ,etc. All but Samuel and I have a lot on him and descendents because I am in his descendent line. Just in the past few days I got in contact with GR., GR, Granddaughter of William George, fourth child of Ansel. She gave me a good line from her back to Ansel. And James was first child of William. No, I'm sorry. My James George was the son of Samuel, who was the son of Ansel. Do any of these sound familiar? Wonder if maybe your William was a brother to my Samuel? Thanks again, Guilda

    1. [KYCLAY] Seal near Major
    2. NANCY/Glenda
    3. My grandfather: John, Johnie, or Johnny Seale. Born January 1, 1887. There were two Seal(Seale) brothers that came to Owsley Co. in about the 1840s. They were Joseph and John King Seal. They were from Lee Co, Va or Hancock Co, TN. It's the same place, the borders just changed. I have come to believe that my grandfather most likely came from the John K. line, because when he attended Berea College in 1906/1907, his mailing address was Major, KY which was in the Island Creek area. John K. and his family lived in that area while Joseph and his family lived in the Booneville area. So I have wondered if maybe John K. was Johnie's grandfather. I don't know. This is pretty much all I have. I appreciate your help. Stephanie This message is from a lady whose Father Johnny Seal is dying of cancer and is trying to locate some of his family before he dies. Can anyone help her. Thank You, Nancy

    2. I found this Henry and Susan Smith on the 1880 Clay County Census and I was wondering which Henry and Susan this is because I have a Henry and Susannah Smith with Hiram Harrison Smith as their only child and I was wondering if this is the same couple. I had been looking for my great grandmother's death record. Her name was Melzelia, and I found one on the Kentucky death record site that was Nell Z. and sent for it and it was her. So alot of the time, the records are wrong. Like a James will be listed as Jim or an Elizabeth will be listed as Bessie. Good luck, Charlotte

    3. I worked at the Wright Pat Foreign Technology Division in the late 60's and 70's. I never saw anything quite that foreign. I do remember an unconfirmed rumor going around when we first landed on the Moon. I was said they found four Kentuckians in a 1953 Ford looking for a job. When I reported to start work a few days later, I was told that I had made the highest score of anyone who had applied before that time. One reason I like to brag about this is that many people regarded me as nothing more than a poor Kentucky Hillbilly just because my language sounded different. I was as good an Aircraft Sheetmetal Mechanic as ever worked at that field. That is a statement, not a brag.
