Has anyone researched the Thomas Hubbard (b 1755) family? I have done so much research on my other families seems I have completely skipped over this side and would now like to go back and take a closer look at the Hubbard family. Would like to talk with anyone who has done research to compare what little information I have, and see if I am on the right track. My information was gathered from others when I first started so i don't know how accurate it is. Also does anyone know of any good Hubbard Research books that are available? Thanks, Cassy. -- Please check out my new free genealogy site. I am currently looking for others willing to share their photographs as well. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~foe3643/
All Asher researchers are saddened by the untimely death of Hermina. For the past years I have been privileged to work closely with Hermina and benefit from her tremendous knowledge of genealogy, especially of the families of Southeastern Kentucky. Hermina has shared her database with me, and the ASHER & HENDRICKSON research will continue, as well as the books. HERMINA YOU WILL BE MISSED BY ALL OF US. WHO WILL ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS? Hildegard Hendrickson
Hermina was such a kind & dear person! She will be missed most dearly!! RESPONSE: Oh, John, I am so heavy hearted to hear this news. Somehow I just knew something was wrong and , of course, I knew her health was poor and that she was basically wheelchair and housebound. What a wonderful and helpful human being she was. Everything you have said below is absolutely the way I felt about her. Joyce, I am sorry, I should have said why I am trying to find her. I am looking for her parents and siblings because she is my great great great grandmother. She and William S. Nancy Ermine Lane married Joseph Rice and had my grandmother, Minnie Rice who married Floyd Hooker and they had my mother, Mary Louise Hooker. Thanks, Charlotte

Has anyone in this group heard of Thomas Maupin, born around 1846 or 1847, died Dec 21, 1947. I just got his death certificate in the mail, and it lists his father as being Will or Wille Maupin, birthplace unknown, and mother's name and birthplace unknown. The informant for the certificate was Philip Maupin. I haven't had luck so far finding them in the census records for Clay County. I've seen Thomas Maupins, but all the wrong ages and no other recognizable names in the family. He is listed as being buried in Fall Rock, KY. I also got a certificate for his wife, Adeline Allen, born around 1854, died Mar 8, 1936. Her parents are listed as Joseph Allen and Rhoda Hubbard, both born in Clay County. She is listed as being buried in the Cope's Cemetery. I am pretty sure I've seen Allen and Hubbard surnames in this group before. If you have any connection to these particular folks, please let me know. Thanks! -----Original Message----- From: NANCY/Glenda [mailto:crowwmn@mvdsl.com] Sent: Thursday, August 07, 2003 2:25 PM To: KYCLAY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [KYCLAY] Seal near Major Hi, This Seal is a real puzzle..
