    2. RESPONSE: Hello, Kentucky did not formalize a system for recording births and deaths until 1911 and even then and for sometime afterwards it was not a perfect system. I doubt you would find any type of a certificate for each of these ancestors of yours. You will most probably be able to document them on the census records and with marriage records but probably nothing else. If they have tombstones engraved with their dates, that would be another option.     3. Debbie, I tested my father's DNA to help with a brick wall problem. My father is a Williams by birth. He matched the Ramsey surname project 36/37 markers suggesting he is actually a Ramsey by DNA and that close of a match is very rare.
