IHowever I havent been able to make it to Hopkinsville. I am looking for information on a shooting and eventual grand jury investigation that would have happened in Feb./March 1883. My great great grandfather Joseph M. Blizzard (a.k.a. William H. Barcus or sometimes Henry Barcus) shot a man and then was sent to prison in March of 1883. I know from court records that there was a Grand Jury investigation on 10 March 1883 and he was sentenced to 1 year hard labor on 28 March 1883. I am trying to get my hands on any newspaper clippings from the events surrounding the shooting and the trial/sentencing. I am willing to pay you if you would investigate for me and I'll pay for postage and copies. Let me know if you can help me.
