Antony BLYE, colored, was shot in the head and almost instantly killed by Dave LEDFORD, also colored. They were neighbors, and the killing grew out of an old fued in which LEDRORD's sister had been badly cut up by BLYE's sister. The men had quarreled over it before and meeting that morning, BLYE rushed upon LEDFORD, who opened fire, shooting BLYE four times, one ball entering his head and one his throat.
