    1. [KYCHRIST] Re: Hawkins Cemetery Records info needed !!!!!!!
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mAB.2ACE/2484.3 Message Board Post: I have found that in doing a cemetery book myself that records for cemeteries are the worst kept information on this earth. They only keep in the bigger cemeteries records of who bought the plot not who is buried there. There are no records for the cemeteries in the county kept by anyone unless someone takes it upon themselves to keep track of them. The cemeteries now are getting better about it and the funeral home records only tell what cemetery they are buried in and not the location. Now, all this aside, the library here in Hopkinsville, have cemetery books and they are in the process of getting this updated because the last time was in the 60's & 70's. If a headstone was found in the Hawkins Cemetery then it should be recorded. Let me know what you want to know and I will look in the books and see if I can find the info. that you want. If the death was in 1946 and they died in Ky. then a death certificate and death notice in the paper can be found. Rebecca Owen
