Wm Shaw died 22 Feb. 1814 and Ann Allison, d. 30 Oct. 1819. Their daughter married Richard B. Hooper, a military man and surveyor and after getting married in Georgia, the entire family set out on the wagon train across Tennessee, giving up on Chester, SC! They settled in Shelby County, Texas with loads of family from Tennessee c. 1835. Isabella Shaw was born June 22, 1788 and is a long, lost child that should be listed in the Shaw-Smith Family Bible of R.F. Vaugh of Lexington, KY inbetween Martha "Patsy" Shaw and Elizabeth "Sarah" Shaw! This family was well-to-do and left a paper trail. Ann Allison was the daughter of Samuel Allison, b. 1725 and Martha McBride of Guilford, NC! Hance Shaw was the grandfather who came to Virginia c. 1700 from Scotland aboard the rich tobacco fleets from Glasgow. In the home of Richard B (E) Hooper and Isabella Shaw (distantly relate! d to the Straws and Buckners closeby neighbors in the Texas 1850 Census taken September 13, 1850 by J. Lister, #84-84 is the son J.J.Hooper and next door #85-85 is Richard Hooper 67 Surveyor from Virginia and wife, Isabella, 62 (the years are exact) and son, Lafayette aged 25, Collumbus, 20, and my matriarch, the widow of Language Professor Daniel E. Wiseman, d. 1856, Caroline (Hooper) Wiseman, aged 30 years with her children, Mariah 12, Amandy, 6, and John 3. Ms. Caroline Hooper Wiseman's child married John Anderson Wheeler, son of the Chief Justice of Texas, Royal Tyler Wheeler, and died leaving only one son, an orphan, Rev. In the LDS records, someone named their little girl, Royal Tyler Wheeler in Todd after the man who brought law and order to Texas! Can the graves of William Shaw and Ann Allison, Revolutionary War Hero be found? Thank you. Isabella Shaw like the others were great nieces to President John Adams on the Smith side.
