Surnames: Blankenship Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mAB.2ACE/746.749.1 Message Board Post: Fairview Review) OLDEST MAN IN KENTUCKY A Christian County Citizen Dies at a Very Old Age Henry BLANKENSHIP, whose sickness was mentioned in the last issue of the Review, died at his home some three miles north of this place, and was buried at Goshen grave yard. The immediate cause of his death was a general give down of the whole system. "Uncle" Henry BLANKENSHIP, as he was called, was born in Chesterfield county, Virginia, March 24, 1776. He came to Christian county in the early part of this century and has lived in either Todd or Christian county ever since. He was married when quite young. He is the father of fifteen children, eleven of whom are still living, the oldest is 70 and the youngest 36 years old. He, as far as we can learn, never joined any church, but was always a good, quiet, peaceable citizen. He was followed to his last resting place by a large concourse of people.
