They are the same person. Marcus Burnett Cansler passed away in 1871 at which time his wife, Lousia, remarried to George W Armstrong. You should also note that the youngest sister of George W Armstrong (Sallie/Sarah) married to John Reed Cansler, the son of Marcus and Louisa Jane.
