Notes for Samuel Dukes: Samuel and Winney raised Sam's sisters bastard children: Elizabeth born ca. 1789 married February. 9 1809 to Solomon Groves. William born Ca. 1790 and died 1821 Found 2 death dates on Samuel 4-13-1821 and 5-25-1821 Samuel was awarded these children February 8 1779 in a Bute County NC court. They were 5 and 3 at the time.
