Can > you see Hopkinsville? Yes, you certainly can see the JD Monument from Pilot Rock. But Hopkinsville? I don't think so. The Monument is much higher than Pilot Rock. The very best time to see anything from Pilot Rock is in the fall when the trees have all turned colors and the wisps of smoke from tobacco barns, scattered across the surrounding land, is rising here and there and the air is brisk and the sun warm to your face. Sitting up there with the earth in view, you feel like you are atop the world and the patches of farmland remind one of being up in a small plane, but with the windows open and you can see the Jeff Davis monument very well. Can you tell I speak from experience? Please come back and visit the gift shop, Pilot Rock and Christian County again. Jean ~~
