Below is what I have figured out thus far for my step grandfather's ancestors. I'm still fairly clueless about the Goff line, but have finally gotten his mother's line fairly straight. Surnames include: GOFF, BRADSHAW, COOKSEY, MAJOR, NEGLEY, MCDONALD, etc. Any corrections, additions, or questions are welcome. And if anyone can help me figure out who the heck William Alexander Goff connects with ... my step grandfather's father who died in WWI in 1917 ... I'd be truly appreciative. FIRST GENERATION 1. William Meridith "Billy" GOFF was born on 13 Dec 1904 in Guthrie, KY. He appeared on the census in 1930 in , Christian, KY in the household of his then step father (TC Cooksey). He died on 2 Apr 1977 in Hopkinsville, Christian, KY. SECOND GENERATION 2. William Alexander GOFF was born about 1883. He died on 2 Sep 1917 in USS Brooklyn. He was married to Lester B. BRADSHAW on 19 Feb 1904. 3. Lester B. BRADSHAW was born on 12 Jun 1883 in , Christian, KY. She died on 10 Sep 1967. She was also known as Lessie B.. William Alexander GOFF and Lester B. BRADSHAW had the following children: 1 i. William Meridith "Billy" GOFF "Papa Bill". ii. Margruett E. GOFF was born before 1917. She died before 1977. THIRD GENERATION 6. Meridith R.
