(BRADSHAW) SALMON. His early life was spent on his father's farm, where he worked during the spring and summer months and in the fall attended the common schools of his district. He has been a resident of Hopkins county eight years, having came to Ilsley in 1884 to take a clerkship in the store of the CRABTREE Coal Mining Company, and afterward becoming storekeeper for same Company, which position he now holds. In September, 1889, he was appointed a justice of the peace to fill out the unexpired term of Esquire R.L. DAVIS, and at the following August election, was elected for the ensuing term of said office. "Dick" is quite popular with the young folks and is often called upon to ride out of his district to perform the rites of matrimony for them. He is a Republican in politics and always takes an active part in the political campaign. He is a member of the Masonic and Odd Fellow Fraternities, and takes a great interest in both orders. Mr. SALMON is justly regarded as one of the progressive and public spirited citizens of the county, and is very popular with all who known him, either in a business or a social way.
