Are there any early Christian Co. land or estate records? I am looking for records of John Fuller and Daniel Fuller between 1806 and 1815. Thanks Carl Fuller
Was wondering if anyone knows who the John Taylor was in the 1850 census for Christian county, KY. He is listed as living in the hotel, aged 18, occupation = stagedriver. I'm trying to location more information on a J.T. Taylor, year of birth unknown, who married Agnes Hunt Fleming on 3 Nov 1860 in Christian County, KY. They had four children: John Fleming Taylor (b. 1861) James L. Taylor (b. 1861) George Taylor (b. 1864) Charles Taylor (b. 1866) They married too late to appear on the 1860 census as a family and J.T. Taylor appears to have died or left the family by the 1870 census where Agnes appears living with her father John Fleming. I haven't had any luck finding Agnes in the 1880 census but did find her brother Calvin Fleming in the 1880. Any help is appreciated ... and I'll be more than happy to exchange info on this line of the Taylor's and their connected to the Fleming's and Stevenson's. The album includes many unnamed photographs including two tintypes. I believe Roy's mother was a Swope, and it is said that he was a descendant (or relative) of Jefferson Davis. One photograph is of a West Point graduate with only the name "Gen. Saffarrans". Any info about this family will be appreciated.
The Hopkinsville-Christian County Library will be closed from May 5th thru May 19th to do some much needed face-lifting to the interior. I will place a notice on the Christian Co. site and will include the same on a temporary tagline for this mailing list. Thanks, Julie

Hi everyone. Thanks to Roxie and Linda I have another rabbit trail to hunt down and hope someone out there might know something about this family. Gladys Blanche Rivera married J.H. Morgan about 1905. J.H. Morgan, as he appears in the 1910 census for Christian county, KY was born abt 1871 in Indiana. By 1910 they have one son Fred R. Morgan who was born about 1906. Also living in the 1910 household is sister Lulu Rivera. I believe that Gladys Blanche Rivera and Lulu Rivera were being raised by their eldest brother Fred S. Rivera, who died in 1905. Blanche probably married for convenience and had her sister Lulu come live with her. Another sister, Martha "Mattie" Rivera, married Frank Cleon Kelly Sr. about 1896 and also lived in Christian County. The other brother Tito P. Rivera Jr. does not appear to have lived with the family at least from 1910 onward and never married. Would love to hook up with someone from any of these lines. Thanks. Would some kind soul out there happen to have access to the 1910 census index for Christian County? I'm trying to locate a Tito P. Rivera. Hi Kathy, Luckily, my library subscribes to the HeritageQuest database, so I was able to look him up (with Roxie's help -- his last name really is blurred). Whoever transcribed the record for the Miracode seems to have made a mistake, though -- in the entry, he's listed as single, head of household. I didn't see 'husband' anywhere. However, under a search for 'Rivera,' a Lulu also turned up, born Texas, father born Mexico, mother born Mississippi. She's living with her sister and brother-in-law, but he's listed as J. H. According to Ancestry's KY Death index 1911-2000, Marcus H. BOYD, age 76, died 7 Dec. 1946 in Christian Co., KY. He would have been born ca 1870, about the time that my missing gg grandfather, Marcus D. Boyd would have turned 50. I know that Marcus D. Boyd was in Montgomery Co., TN in 1850, Trigg Co., KY in 1851 and McCracken Co., KY in 1860. I know of other Marcus BOYDS, one of which married a Margaret BOYD in Trigg Co., KY in the 1850's and later moved to Texas. One version of our family lore is that "the BOYDS came from down around Christian Co." It is my hope that there might be some connection between Marcus H. and Marcus D. BOYD and tracing the parents of Marcus H. might lead me to some information on the parents of Marcus D. Any information on Marcus H. BOYD would be most appreciated. Ed.Boyd@prodigy.net
