Thanks Kim, I am in Greenville and acquainted with the wonderful ladies that work at our history library. I had two marriage dates for Ephraim and Nancy Oglesby Dukes. I thought some one may have miscopied. I was at the Christian County court house and looked up both marriages and have copies of both marriage certificates. Unfortunately at that early date Christian County did not require the bride and groom to answer all the questions that were in the later marriage books. The license issued in 1832 has Nancy Ellen Oglesby, consent was given by her father Jacob Oglesby. The second license issued in 1843 to Nancy Oglesby was signed by Ephraim H.Dukes and William L. Oglesby. Kim <rkhart@egyptian.net> wrote: Hi Jean, I only have the one marriage for him, this wasn't my direct line so I didn't pursue it. Have you emailed the Greenville Annex? Roberta, I cannot varify this, but I have Ephraim H. Dukes as the son of Sampson Dukes born 1770/1775 in N.C.; died before July1837-will written 8 Mar. 1837 and was probated July court of the same year. Mother was Nancy (last name not been proven) believed to be a Cherokee Indian. His first wife was Nancy Ellen Oglesby -married 22 October 1832 Christian County, Ky. the daughter of Jacob Oglesby There is another marriage in the Christian County books for Ephraim H. Dukes and Nancy Oglesby 5th July 1843 and signed by William L. Oglesby ( does not give a relationship) William L. Oglesby was living with Ephraim Dukes family in the 1850 Christian County census, and is supposedly buried in the Dukes family cemetery in Muhlenberg County, Ky. I have Sampson Dukes born about 1825; married 7 Dec. 1848 to Nancy Holland Cope born about 1828---so they would be to young to be the parents of Ephraim Dukes that married Nancy Oglesby-moved to Polk county Missouri. Ephraim's Mother Nancy age 72, was listed in the 1850 Polk Co., Mo. census with his sister Missaniah Dukes and her husband Constant Oglesby What I need to know was there two different Nancy Oglesby's. I am beginning to think the second Nancy may have been the daughter of William L. and Mary Oglesby, altho I can find no proof of this. My address book in turn has been affected. I found this and since you are in my address book there is a good chance you will find it in your computer too. I followed the directions below and eradicated the virus easily. The virus (called jdbgmgr.exe) is not detected by Norton or McAfee anti-virus systems. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by the address book whether or not you sent emails to your contacts. Here is how you check for the virus and get rid of it. 1. Go to start, find or search option. 2. In the file/folders option, type the name: jdbgmgr.exe 3. Be sure to search your C: drive and all the subfolders and any other drives you may have. 4. Click "find now" 5. The virus has a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe. DO NOT OPEN IT. 6. Go to edit (on the menu bar), choose "select all" to highlight the file without opening it. 7. Now go to the file (on the menu bar) and select delete. It will then go to the recycle bin. IF YOU FIND THIS VIRUS,YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOKS. To do this: (a) Open a new e-mail message (b) Click on the icon of the address book next to the "TO" (c) Highlight every name and add to "BCC" (d) Copy this message above and paste to e-mail. (e) Enter subject I WAS ABLE TO GET RID OF THIS IN ABOUT 2 MINUTES. I AM SO SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
